Two sides of Cher in two recent singles

Can you believe that Cher's last major release was back in 2013 with the album Closer to the Truth? It was actually her best performing solo album, and It spent several weeks within the top ten on the Billboard 200 chart.

After that, fans had to settle for seeing her live or by following her on social media, as she wasn't actively producing new material.

Well, this year Cher has released two new songs and both are amazing.

Back in March, she released “Prayers For This World” for the documentary, Cries From Syria. In the film, Syrian activists, revolutionary leaders, former army generals, journalists and ordinary citizens discuss their country's humanitarian crisis and civil war.

'Prayers For This World' was written by Diane Warren. There's no video yet, but here's the song:

The second single is much newer and was written for, and included in, a recent episode of the children's show Home: Adventures with Tip And Oh.

In the show she plays a character called Chercophonie, an alien rock diva. The song is about being the best you you can be.

We think that a little bit of some electronic drums beating in the background, this could be the hit of the late summer!
