Morrissey is back with "Spent the Day In Bed"

He's mopey. He's misanthropic. He's moody. He's Morrissey. Yes, everyone's favorite musical malcontent is planning a comeback. He has just released a new video for the single "Spent the Day In Bed."

There's nothing really new to the song. It sounds like a lot of Morrissey's music. Even the lyrics feel somewhat familiar, with lines like: "Life ends in death, so there's nothing wrong with being good to yourself."

The single is from the upcoming album Low in High School, which is due out November 2017. This will be the singer's first new release since 2014, and his 11th solo LP.

"The political elite has stopped breathing, and the people and politicians everywhere are openly in a state of mutual contempt," he explained. "Translate all of this into great music and life becomes hopeful."

Because everyone knows that when you're feeling down, Morrissey is there to pick you up ... not!
