Is Ellen DeGeneres part of the "deep state"?

Donald Trump's son Eric thought he was being clever when he called out Ellen DeGeneres for being a member of the "deep state."

In case you are not familiar with the term, Google Dictionary defines it as "a body of people, typically influential members of government agencies or the military, believed to be involved in the secret manipulation or control of government policy."

Ellen took a moment on her show to address the accusation.
