Maleflixxx has taken a lot of care to assemble a huge collection of studio porn for a gay audience. In fact it's the largest video-on-demand company specializing in gay content and has exclusive VOD rights for studios such as Kristen Bjorn, Lucas Kazan and even Jean Danielle Cadinot. The inventory is quite massive: over 8,600 titles and 35,000 scenes from over 380 studios. And they have a new mobile platform, so you can stream direct to your iPhone if you choose. On the down side is the fact that it's all rental so you can't keep anything permanently and the a la carte pricing is higher than a regular monthly membership to a porn site.

Formats and Speeds

Maleflixx offers a choice of three streaming formats: Windows Media, Flash and Silverlight. These play in a 640x360 or 640x480 window at a maximum bitrate of 1100 kbps.

Finding Your Flicks

From the maleflixxx home page you can quickly select from a dozen major themes or click to get a list of all studios, stars and themes. The Smart Search  option offers greater flexibility in specifying exactly what you're looking for, including fetish material from a number of smaller studios. Search results are sortable, giving you the option of displaying by most recently added titles, user rating, release date or alphabetically by title. 

Movie Descriptions

On the individual title page, there's a box cover and a brief description of the movie, along with the studio, running time, country, year of release and director. You are provided with an "out of five" rating - the average assigned by other users who've watched the movie. You also get headshots of the models appearing in the video and a couple of small video captures for each scene.

Pricing

At maleflixxx you buy credits and then spend them, paying a price for each scene or full-length video you stream. (The cost of the credits are discounted if you spend more than $30.)

You can rent a stream for one or five days. One scene for 24 hours usually costs between $2.50 and $3. For five days it's usually between $3.50 and $4.50.

ScenePacks give you four days of unlimited viewing of a set group of 10 - 15 scenes from one of a dozen different studios, at a deep discount.

Summing Up

From mainstream to fetish and back again, Maleflixxx is an excellent choice if you are looking for a wide variety of video from many studios and don't want to get locked into a monthly membership. Their new mobile platform worked very well on our iPhone. The big negative is the pricing, which is high compared to paying for a monthly porn site membership.
