The former "Playgirl" model and current bodybuilder Mark Wolff describes his site as "...one of the largest erotic muscle sites on the net." We would agree that it is one of the biggest catering to the muscle niche, with many hours of videos featuring muscle worship, solo jerk-off, wrestling, and jock strap fantasies. On the upside, Mark now offers seven of the 34 DVDs featured on the site for download, a modest improvement in the value equation for members. With the exception of a handful of very recent videos, many of the videos have average or lower quality. As well, the site design and playback options could be improved.

Tour

The Mark Wolff tour provides several pages of images and descriptions of the more recent models added to the site. On each of the tour pages there is also one video clip; there's no hint of the uneven quality of the member videos, or at the lack of player options. The tour also claims "Full Video Downloads" and "Now in HD" but only a small portion of the videos can be downloaded and only a very few have a high-definition bitrate.

Usability

The member's home page begins with a small horizontal menu of text links including "Videos" and "Video Downloads." The rest of the page is graphically heavy as it presents eight different types of Mark Wolff content, spanning horizontally across the page. Click "More" at the right of each row for the rest of the content of a particular type. There is no search function.

The Men and the Action

Mark Wolff's spectacular body provides the prototype for the many gorgeous guys on the site. And they don't just pose and flex. They also get deliriously slippery with oil, then play with themselves and each other. Wait ... we meant "wrestle," but at the end, one or both wrestlers cum. The models are divided into two distinct types: "Bodybuilder Models" and "Fitness Models". As you might expect, you'll find the bodybuilders to be bigger and more muscled, while the "fitness" guys are a bit less massive.

These guys are shot all over the world, with tight control over who makes the cut. The videos are designed to specifically feature the hottest poses, positions and angles that muscle worshippers relish. Aside from the occasional uninspired setting they succeed very well. One disappointing thing was not finding any text descriptions, interviews, or model stats for these impressive men -- even though the tour area does have some.

While there are exceptions, viewing quality of the videos is, for the most part, just average, with the exception of some of the very recent ones. The lighting and sound are generally quite adequate but there is an occasional loss of detail particularly if the model has darker skin, and pixellation with movement more often than we would like. Sound quality varies too, and you'll find yourself adjusting the volume up and down; sometimes the synchronization is off a bit and a few vids have no sound at all. But overall these vids are well-shot and the cumshots are almost all caught.

Video Details

There are five categories of videos on this site, most of which are around 15 minutes in length. First are the 21 studio made full-length DVDs from Mark Wolff Video, divided into four to six scenes. Next we have the 47 "Solo Muscle Video" selections, followed by 32 "Solo Fitness Videos." In the specialty "Full Length Wrestling DVD" category you'll find 7 DVD titles ( these are one long scene each). Finally there's the "Exxxtra Muscle Video Player" which features 22 video scenes which are of lower quality than the rest of the videos. Updates appear to be less frequent than they used to be.

Image and Other Content

The site has a total of 177 image galleries that average about 50 images each. Quality varies from average in the average sized, older galleries to spectacular in the newer, very large sized images. There is a slide show but no zoom feature. Avoid the large "Live Cam" button which is just a link to the pay-per-minute cam site Flirt For Free.

Summing Up

Mark Wolff Video has broadened its appeal by distinguishing its video and picture content between big body builders and more conventional athletic guys. The main audience will remain true muscle fans who want to see their favorite physique models in classic poses, oily jerk-offs, and wrestling, though the video quality of most of the content should be upgraded.
