On its first page, First Auditions warns you not to enter if the sight of straight young men forced to strip naked and ejaculate offends you. If this sounds more like an invitation than a warning, you'll find First Auditions fascinating. Think bare-bones Bel Ami auditions and you'll understand the concept perfectly. But while audition tapes are just one aspect of many studios' offerings, for First Auditions they are the main attraction, as you witness the crew put each applicant through a ritual of mild humiliation. The site is a bit overpriced but there's no DRM on the videos.

Tour

The tour for First Auditions is enticing, but not a mirror tour. The preview page highlights photos of some of the site’s best looking guys plus a downloadable video showing some of the best moments of the site. There's a detailed description of the site's method of straight-boy seduction.

However, once you’re past the sexy preview, not all the models are as good-looking as in the tour. The site also overstates the quality and quantity of the content: it claims 4,600 videos, but there are really 800 divided into clips. And while the videos may have been shot in high-definition they are not rendered as such, so the claim that the videos are "large format and crystal clear" is not true.

Usability

With so many amateur guys coming through the door, it’s hard for First Auditions to keep them straight. Navigation is basic though there have been improvements since last time we checked. You can browse the model indexes alphabetically and that's about it. The list of "latest updates" does not have any pictures, believe it or not. While improved the navigation and overall design could still be made more intuitive.

The Men and the Action

First Auditions offers a large and varied array of mostly uncut straight men who come from 60 different countries. These are not guys that usually pose for porn sites; the look of the models varies widely but the men are real. They’re all from 18-29 and in good shape. Body types range from slender to beefy, and there is all the expected variation in looks, dicks and disposition.

The site pushes the idea of the humiliation of these guys, and gets off on the control over their “auditions.” Even though there’s lots of talk of shaming and degrading guys, the videos are rather tame and no verbal or physical abuse is featured. The guys do as they are told, at times reluctantly, some of them even agree to be fondled and dildo-fucked, but it’s more like they’re being tricked into it than forced. In the end, they are asked on camera if they feel embarrassed by what they’ve done, even though they've just spilled a huge load.

The formal setting makes the videos somewhat repetitive as they never stray far from the same formula: cocks are inspected, heights and weights measured, sometimes a dildo is shoved up somebody’s ass, but all done in a detached way that never takes full advantage of having these studs at the mercy of the camera.

Shot like procedural videos, they are mostly voyeuristic and distant, keeping the viewer at arms-length from the action, as if you're watching from across the room. In an attempt to objectify the men, the videos can become clinical.

There are no duos or groups, with nary a blowjob featured – these are almost exclusively solo videos. The vids look very good in the 640x360 default size, with some loss of quality when upsized. But while most of the movies are shot in high definition they are not offered with high-def specs and would benefit from higher bitrates and larger sizes.

Sometimes the videography is borderline amateurish, with the camera being blocked by the cameraman, jerked around and sometimes almost missing the cumshots. Watching these studs jerk off is a real treat, but even voyeurs may want to see more camera angles. Surprisingly, some of the older videos seem better shot than the newer ones.

Video Details

There are about 800 15-minute videos, usually divided into 3 or 4 clips documenting the interview, physical examination and masturbation test. The site updates about twice a week. There is no DRM, so you can keep these videos as long as you like.

Image and Other Content

The inventory of images is large, featuring more than 800 image galleries with about 65 pictures per set – but you won’t be able to download them all at once since every set is broken down into different sections and no zip file option is available. The scenes, angles and types of shots are invariably the same, often over-lit, far away and rarely featuring hard cocks. In older sets there are photo studies of the models, simple front-back-side shots that could be from a medical text book, except for the extreme closeups of assholes, cocks and balls.

Summing Up

The idea behind First Auditions is promising, but somehow it is not "manhandled" in quite the way that turns our crank. It’s very hot to see straight guys strip and jerk off, especially in these good looking videos, but the basic videography squanders some of the possibilities. The site has a slant towards humiliation fetishists, but voyeurs who get off on seeing straight guys do as they are told would expect a little more. On the upside, the inventory of true amateur guys is extensive, with lots to explore.
