Freshman X is packed with cute college-aged guys, mostly Euro, but a fair number of Americans, too. The site updates often - 3 scenes a week - and there's now close to 500, around 50% of which were filmed in high-definition. The price is right as well, at only $16.88 per month. All that being said, much of the "new" hardcore content is licensed (so not totally exclusive), quality varies as you move back in the catalog, and the site is lacking in personality.

Tour

The FreshmanX tour starts right on the main page and presents an accurate and fairly complete overview of member content. You can scroll through the entire "Hardcore" video index where each episode has a preview clip and images. Or you can click on “Models” for a comprehensive listing of FreshmanX performers – perhaps the sexiest yearbook ever assembled!

Usability

Once inside the FreshmanX members’ area, navigation is pretty much the same as in the tour: updates are arranged in chronological order, and models are introduced in the “Models” area, the most recent guy listed first. The site design – simple to use directional buttons and large, clear image icons – makes it easy to navigate. The site has an advanced search feature which helps you to find your personal guy-type, characteristic or sex type, but it can be a bit touchy and sometimes yields no results.

The Men and the Action

As the name suggests, the men of Freshman X are usually in their early twenties: cute, generally smooth, and not too skinny. The solo and hardcore episodes are shot indoors and out, and include enthusiastic sucking, rimming, fucking, facials, and a few toys. Most of the hardcore scenes are from Europe, while a fair number of the solo scenes are American boys.

We did notice that a lot of the recent hardcore scenes are licensed from DVD content and can date back a few years This site does lack personality; there are no text descriptions at all, and only a small number of videos have an interview portion at the beginning of the scenes.

Video Details

Viewing quality of the videos varies, with the half that were shot in HD good quality; downloads were significantly better looking than the Flash streams. Overall, the videos are simple but solidly made. Usually shot with a single hand-held camera, they nonetheless manage to capture all the action without distracting blurs, shakes or skips. The lighting is even and the sound is consistently clear. The camera always catches cumshots, and sometimes follows the models into the shower for their cleanup sessions.

Currently, Freshman X offers 487 exclusive videos, each clocking in at around 18 minutes -- and with three updates per week, its catalog continues to grow quickly. Around 2/3 of the total are solo videos. All of them are offered DRM-free, which means that you can enjoy them even after you're no longer a member.

Image and Other Content

Alongside its large video collection, FreshmanX hosts a large selection of digital images - some 350 galleries, each averaging almost 200 high-res photos - which can also be viewed in medium and low resolution, and downloaded in zip files. And just to sweeten the deal your membership gives you access to seven different video feeds, including favorites like On The Hunt, Fratmen, and College Boys Live.

Summing Up

If you like seeing smooth, handsome younger guys in enthusiastic action, FreshmanX is a site to consider. The site’s DRM-free videos, gorgeous high resolution digital pictures, and generous update schedule almost make up for the lack of personality.
