There's something about those Citi Boyz, the much-loved studio known for its hot twink and collegiate models that have appeared in dozens of DVD releases over the past ten years. Last year the Grabby Awards in Chicago gave the studio the Best Twink Video award for "Keep 'em Cummin". The enthusiastic fucking and sultry solos in almost 435 semi-exclusive episodes make the Citi Boyz site a good value. While the Windows Media downloads are DRM-free, most have a small default size of only 320x240 that doesn't look great on upsizing. However more recent vids are larger and have a higher bitrate, making for a more satisfying experience.

Tour

Citi Boyz tells you right off the bat exactly how many models, pictures and videos are on the site. The first pages of the tour include 12 preview clips and some small images to give you a flavor for the cuties on the site. Click "Our Boys" to get the entire model roster with a photo and text description, but the links to specific videos go right to the join page. The tour is okay, though not as complete as we'd like to see; it does also claim that the videos are "clear, sharp hi-res vids" but they are definitely not high-definition.

Usability

The site does a good job of getting you to the important stuff , with buttons across the top of every page linking members to the latest updates, the roster of guys, the still images, and the videos. There is excellent cross-referencing between the Photos, the Models and the Videos. This is pretty good navigation -- as far as it goes. Now it's time for a more detailed search function so members can search by categories such as age, dick size, or use of toys. On the dick size question we can help: there are a lot of BIG ones!

The Men and the Action

The studio has always been able to attract exceptionally cute twinks and collegiate guys. A number of today's porn stars got their start in a solo performance or a tentative duo encounter on Citiboyz . There's ample reason to celebrate these young guys: the smooth creamy skin, teeth like white chicklets behind pouty lips, big dicks that remind you of the over-sized paws on a Labrador puppy. You'll see the guys in action that includes sultry solos on a couch or a bed, and duos around a pool or in a hot tub. There's a model profile for each guy that includes a bit of information, although more detailed stats would be welcome.

As for the videography, the quality is quite good, though far from perfect. Despite the fact that most of the video shoots are indoors, there is occasionally a lack of proper light on the models. Sometimes there is also a lack of imagination in the the camera angles, poses, and in the medium and close up shots.

Overall playback quality is good, but could be improved. The older 80% of the Windows Media downloads have a bitrate of 1300-1400 kbps, but for some reason are only 320x240 pixels in size; they should be twice that size.

Video Details

The site features almost 435 videos with an average length of 13 minutes. Video and photo updates are once weekly -- and there is no DRM so you can enjoy these twink and collegiate confections for as long as you like.

Image and Other Content

You"ll enjoy the large, crystal clear digital pictures in the site's 480 image galleries. These range from 600x800 to 800x1200 pixels in size. They are a real addition to your membership. There is no choice of image sizes, no slide show, no zip files and no zoom features, although you can move through a page of images with your arrow keys and the interface is kind of nifty.

Summing Up

Citi Boyz has attracted some of the hottest young guys in the U.S. to its high profile DVDs: now they're all here in one place for you to enjoy. Video quality is good, particularly with the most recent 20%, but could still be improved.
