Flava Men is the porn site companion to the quarterly magazine of the same name; here you'll find generous video and image galleries corresponding to the models in the magazine. It's a unique idea and an example of the quality that puts the Flava Works studio above the competition in black / Latino porn. The videos are very sharp and well shot, and at $14.95 the price is excellent. But we always have trouble getting these guys to answer our emails (they do eventually) so when it comes to customer service, don't expect much. Also the downloads take longer than normal -- and it looks like the updates are becoming less frequent.

Tour

Rather than a comprehensive tour, Flava Men offers a "Free Stuff" section, the online equivalent of a glimpse at the dirty magazines on display at a public newsstand. You get editorials, reviews and model teasers (interview fragments and small photos) from each issue. You have to subscribe to the site (or the print magazine) to get a more detailed look at Flava Men's world.

Usability

While Flava Men's tour is like a random flip through the pages of a magazine, the members' area gives a more organized browsing experience. Icons on the homepage link to articles, calendars and a model index; under the "Magazines" you'll see a grid of all 28 issues of Flava Men. The magazines themselves can be downloaded in their entirety, or specific photo / video shoots and erotic stories can be accessed through well-marked quick links. Still, the overall look of the site is a bit dated and the list of video options could be displayed in a clearer way.

The Men and the Action

As described on its model recruitment page, the Flava Men type is black or Latin, fit, young and hung. Additionally, the guys all boast a swagger that really amps up their appeal. In the magazine's copious interview segments, many claim to be bi or straight. Unlike many sites, Flava Men treats erotic fiction as real porn, and the stories are damn hot, even if some of them strain credibility by relying on heavy doses of trash talk.

It's important to note that Flava Men's "subscribe" page includes an option to subscribe to the print edition of Flava Men (4 issues per year), but the print subscription does not include online membership.

Summing Up
