The masters of perversion at San Francisco's Kink.com, creators of the classic BDSM sites Bound Gods and Naked Kombat, have turned their dirty minds to the task of developing Bound in Public, a newer site whose name describes its content pretty accurately. Featuring staged group scenes set in public locations -- bars, restrooms, storefronts and sex clubs -- Bound in Public's hardcore action has a domination / submission dynamic and an emphasis on humiliation. The action may be down-and-dirty, but in true Kink.com style the dudes are expert performers and the productions are consummately professional, and though there are too many upsells in the site for our taste, Bound in Public is still a great choice for fetish enthusiasts.

Tour

Like the videos it hosts, Bound in Public's tour lays everything out on the table...and the bar, and the bathroom floor, and the locker room benches. All of its videos are represented by detailed scene descriptions, substantial selections of photos and brief preview clips. No nasty surprises here, at least none that are undesirable.

Usability

In general, navigating Bound in Public is simple. Updates are arranged on the homepage by date, and individual scene pages have clearly marked links to different media and viewing options. However, the site's search options are limited, so finding specific types of content can require some browsing. More expansive search term menus, and a separate model index specific to Bound in Public (not Kink.com's master model index covering all it's other gay sites which are not included with your membership), would be a real benefit to users of this site.

The Men and the Action

The men of Bound in Public range from porn veterans like Christian Wilde to fresh-faced newcomers like Noah Brooks. Tight bodies are the rule, and predictably there's a lot of ink, denim and leather, but within those parameters there's a great deal of variety. Bears, studs and twinks: they all take (and give) a beating on Bound in Public. Pre- and post- beating interviews with the participants are a nice addition to the videos, and they actually make the sex...sexier. Knowing a bit about the daily life of a dude who's about to get whipped and fucked by multiple partners makes seeing him humiliated that much more titillating.

The action is intense, but it's not arbitrary. Bound in Public's videos are, if not tightly scripted, at least carefully controlled. Most have a loose narrative framework (revenge on the boss, fun night at the bar) within which action unfolds in a way that feels unchoreographed. If you're not into major verbal, the set-up can get boring or repetitive, but it always accompanies or leads into hot hardcore group action.

When it comes to professional fetish porn, Kink.com is one of the most polished producers around. The company's HD-quality videos are always sensitively shot and edited. They're well paced, the sound mixes are tight, and the action is perfectly captured...but artful craft never gets in the way of hot action, even when the camera is winding through a complex crowd scene or a dimly lit set.

Bound in Public adds one new hour-long, DRM-free video every week. The site, which is relatively young, currently hosts around 35 episodes.

Image and Other Content

Every video on Bound in Public is accompanied by a huge gallery of high-quality digital photos - between 250 and 500 images each. The pictures are as professional as the videos, and are available for online viewing and as downloadable zip files. It would be nice if the online galleries were equipped with a slideshow function, but they are compatible with the Piclens plugin if you're interested in going through an extra step in order to have a smoother viewing experience.

The site does offer some additional content, notably a very active members' forum where subscribers critique content, exchange information and offer scene suggestions. The forum comments span all of Kink.com's platforms, so it would be nice if Bound in Public members were able to access a selection of free content from Bound Gods and Naked Combat...the chatter certainly makes those sites sound appealing.

Summing Up

If hardcore BDSM and public humiliation scenes get you off, but the thought of actually being on all fours in the back room of your local leather bar is a little unsettling, then you'll definitely be able to get your vicarious kicks through Bound in Public. Despite the upsells to the the other Kink.com sites and live shows, it still delivers on it's promise of no-holds-barred public action.
