Austin Andrews and Zane Michaels are two straight boys who decided it would be fun to make a porn site -- with each other as primary sexmates. The couple invite tricks along for the ride, of course, and all have a rollicking good time. While Austin Zane is still small at 45 videos and charges $29.95 a month, there are occasional live shows and the site scores top points for personality.

Tour

The tour begins with a video introducing you to Austin and Zane with a rapid-fire montage of their sexcapades accompanied by a fast-paced soundtrack. That's the only free video, but for every episode on the site there is an image gallery and text description. It's a pretty detailed tour, although a bit odd that they have now put their blog in the members-only area.

Usability

Getting around Austin Zane is very easy, with the main sections denoted at the top of every page. There's a model index, but that's about it for search tools. Since the site is so small, that's not a problem yet.

The Men and the Action

Austin and Zane's story is that they are straight buddies who decided they'd rather work for themselves than someone else. Most of the videos feature one or both of them and they play well with each other. So far there are only seven other models -- all good looking -- on the site, either going solo or joining in with A & Z. The episodes allow for some banter so you get more a feel for the guys, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

The downloaded version on the videos have good playback quality with some loss on enlargement; the streams are slightly lower quality. Upping the bitrates of the videos would help. The lighting and sound on these episodes is good and the camerawork is competent. There's no fancy editing on these shoots, but there are a decent variety of shots.

Video Details

There are forty-five DRM-free videos on the site so far, with an update every 6 days. They run longer than usual, from 20 to 40 minutes.

Image and Other Content

Each of the videos is accompanied by a 12-20 good quality video captures. While the pics on the site are small, you can opt to download a zipfile which has very large, good quality versions of the same images. There's also one big gallery of select images of the guys, accessed by the main menu bar.

Austin and Zane have just started doing the occasional live chat so members can interact with them directly. These appear to be scheduled once a week. So far they have not been archiving these shows, which is something they should think about.

Summing Up

Austin Zane is a hot little site with Austin and Zane providing the personality and drive. The sex is hot and the videos are good quality, though we'd like to see the live shows archived and the price is high for the amount of content.
