HIV-positive men read real and cruel app messages

Some HIV-positive men recently took part in FS magazine's HIV Stripped Bare photo shoot as part of an initiative started by UK-based gay men's health charity Gay Men Fight AIDS (GMFA). The aim of the campaign is to battle the stigma men living with HIV and AIDS face day to day.

The models were also asked to read REAL - and horrible - messages that were sent to them on gay dating apps.

According to GMFA CEO Matthew Hodson: "The all too visible stigmatisation of people living with HIV discourages people from testing, or talking honestly about HIV, their risk and their testing history. In a very real sense, stigma helps to perpetuate HIV."

It's sad that people can be this cruel ...
