Nick Denton (pictured, left) will soon be losing his baby, Gawker.com, after the website shared a leaked sex tape of Hulk Hogan. Hogan never gave his consent to the site, argued that it was not newsworthy, and sued Denton and Gawker Media. Hogan won the case and was awarded $140 million.

 

Following the loss, Gawker Media filed for bankruptcy.

 

Well, xHamster, in an obvious ploy for publicity, has reached out to Denton, offering him $35,000 to shoot his own X-rated video.

 

“Gawker Media has filed for bankruptcy but porn site xHamster wants closure,” the porn site announced this week. “The popular porn-sharing destination announced today that it is offering Gawker CEO Nick Denton payment of $25,000 to film a sex tape between him and his husband Derrence Washington, or any other man or woman of Denton’s choosing.”

 

An extra $10,000 would be added if “Washington wears a Hulkamania shirt and shouts Hulk Hogan’s trademark line, ‘Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?’ while penetrating his husband.”

 

Of course, $35,000 isn't much, but it'll pay for quite a few frozen dinners.

 

“The Gawker-Hulk Hogan saga began with porn and should end with porn” XHamster spokesperson Mike Kulich explained. “xHamster has taken a strong position on responsible porn. It troubles us that sex tapes have gotten a bad name from Gawker’s actions… The First Amendment doesn’t give Gawker, xHamster, or anyone else permission to [illegally] film people in the privacy of their homes… It’s just wrong to take videos of people having sex and put them online without their consent. How dumb do you have to be to think otherwise?”

 

Perhaps because Denton is not personally destitute, he has not yet responded to the offer. We don't think porn is really his calling -- but we wouldn't mind seeing his husband in action!
