A super quick peak at the upcoming "Tom of Finland" biopic

Okay, there really isn't much to look at in this teaser from the upcoming biopic Tom of Finland, a movie that will explore the life of one of the most famous queer artists of our time.

“This is the story of a man ahead of his time, bravely standing up against a world virulently against his right to be who he was – a homosexual man with homosexual fantasies,” stated director Dome Karukoski. “The story shows how literally one person can create change in the world, even with something as simple as an artist’s tools.”

“It’s impossible to overstate the impact Tom’s work has had on the image and self-image of gay men all over the world," added producer Aleksi Bardy. "He created the archetypes that now form an integral part of the iconography of popular culture, both gay and straight.” 

The film will be released in February, 2017.

This is not to be confused with another film about the artist called Tom, which is an unauthorized biography of Touko Laaksonen (aka Tom of Finland), and was released last year.
