California-based Studio 2000 is the latest to join the march of gay porn studios to the web, joining Falcon, Colt, Raging Stallion, Hot House, Bel Ami and others with a quality studio membership site. The better studio sites these days allow you to watch tons of titles and web-exclusives for a fraction of what a single DVD costs.

Studio 2000 (or S2K Fanclub) movie scenes are lush and technically perfect, showcasing over 125 gorgeous college age, twink, and stud guys in beautifully shot, lit, and staged porn vignettes. A couple of issues: the videos only stream, we had to re-enter the username and password for each video we watched, and the age of the model is not included in his bio information. Otherwise, a very enjoyable and well-priced porn experience.


In the preview area of the site you'll find six brief video clips of the latest updates. Clicking through the menu choices you'll get a good idea of the amount and type of content available, though this is far from a comprehensive mirror-type tour. Clicking on the box covers doesn't get you sample pics, but instead takes you to the sign-up page.


Once you're inside, navigation from the front page is very easy. Click on "Movie Scenes" to get to the Studio 2000 releases and "Auditions" or "Boyfriend Material" for the web-exclusive episodes. The "Models" button gets you into the model index, which includes a small digital gallery of the guy, along with links to the movie scenes he appears in.


The Studio 2000 model roster fits snugly in the 19-27 age range. It features a sexy mix of full-sized, muscular, generally smooth studs and toned collegiate guys, with a few swimmers and twinks for variety. There are lots of beautiful abs, muscular butts and sized-up dicks on display here.

The site is updated daily with either a photo set or a video scene.

The video streams at 540 kbps in Windows Media format only; there are no other formats or downloads available. The default window size is a standard 320x240 pixels. While the quality is excellent, the size doesn't compare to watching a DVD -- and when you size up to full-screen, there is a loss of quality.

Although the web-exclusive episodes are shot more conventionally, the movie scenes feature really inspired settings, music and cinematography, with great attention to the all-important lighting. For example, an evening pool scene from the movie "Flesh", starring Ryan Alexander and Eric Rhodes. These big-dicked beauties exchange underwater blowjobs, accompanied by slow, throbbing music straight from the Barry White Orchestra, while moonlight dapples the surface of the pool. Hot yet romantic.

And there are many other scenes, in a variety of settings, that have similar appeal. Some of the Studio 2000 vids actually make the effort to tell a story, providing an erotic context for the rhythms of hot sex between some of the best-looking guys in porn.

You can access image galleries in two different locations on the site. First, there are small digital photo sets, averaging 15 pictures each, accompanying each model profile. Then there are over 120 video capture galleries scattered throughout the available movie scenes. These total up to almost 300 galleries. The digital model pics are of excellent quality, while the screencaps are of decent quality -- enough to give you good highlights of the scene.


There are two types of memberships. The S2K Fanclub "Basic" member gets all the web content for $19.95 while the "Premium" member pays $29.95 for the same content plus a free DVD title sent to him every month. This is a pretty good, and unique, offer.

Studio 2000 is a very good studio site with an attractive design and tons of scenes featuring many of today's hottest porn stars.
