Josh Hartnett thoroughly gets off being in front of the camera, whether on film ... or closed circuit television.

The hunky film star, who turned thirty in July, slipped into the Soho Hotel's library while in London last weekend and proceeded to shag a yet to be named female companion. And little did Hartnett know but hotel personnel were watching every seedy minute on CCTV. Pass the popcorn, please!

As one witness pointed out, "Unfortunately the hotel has security cameras all over the place - the library included. ... This means their every spit and cough was recorded, and cringing hotel workers saw all of Josh's X-rated moves."

Cringing? Was is really that bad?

"No one quite knew where to look and there was a very awkward silence. Josh didn't seem bothered that the library wasn't locked and anyone could just burst in. He just kind of went for it."

It wasn't until after the deed was done that a hotel manager had a quiet word with Josh. The Soho Hotel staff are discreet, even if some of their guests aren't. Which is why their is no "Josh Hartnett Sex Tape"  circulating the Web right now. Believe us, we've checked.

Some stars like to drink. Some do drugs. Others, like 48-year-old David Duchovny, are into sex. Like really, really into sex! So much so that Duchovny has checked himself into rehab to undergo treatment for sex addiction.

"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," Duchovny said in a statement released Thursday. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

Back in 1997 the actor denied any obsession with sex during an interview with Playgirl. "I'm not a sex addict," he said. "I have never been to those meetings. It's hurtful to my family and if I was involved with a woman in a monogamous relationship, it would be hurtful to her."

"David was accused of being a sex addict," his wife Tea Leoni once said. "Which I always found very exciting. And then I found out it wasn't true.

"Men are like bulls," she continued. "They gotta get the new cow. Maybe you've got to get the bull after he's had a lot of cows, so you might just be the last new one."

Duchovny just won a Golden Globe this year for playing an over-sexed writer on Showtime's 'Californication' (a second season starts Sept. 28) proving that art truly does imitate life.

Why is the Catholic Church so afraid of love?

It opposes same sex unions as if they were the plague, and now it's dogging on sexually ambiguous Ricky Martin for fathering twin boys. (Note: he did it the old fashioned way ... with a turkey baster).

Not everyone is celebrating the news. The Catholic cardinal of Honduras, Oscar Andres Rodriguez, has accused the pop star of lacking dignity.

On a visit to Chile, the cardinal said, "What Martin did diminishes the dignity of a human being. You can't just buy or rent life. It's even worse when someone famous and in the public eye is doing it."

While the Pope has not weighed in, Mexican talk show host Esteban Arce also attacked the singer saying, "I don't think it's right to deny children of maternal figures, just because you have a big ego."

Puh-lease, we're sure Ricky knows a drag queen or two; what could be more maternal than that?

The newest season of “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” which debuts August 26 on the Oxygen cable channel, has as one of its stars an openly gay former porn actor.

The model, Martin Ritchie, appeared as “Pauly” on CruiserBoys.com and  'York' for Boyride.com.

This isn't the first time the show has flirted with members of the adult industry. Last season Rodrigo de Carli's gay porn work for Rascal Video (as 'Claudio Martin') was exposed. De Carli has since returned to porn, joining Lucas Entertainment.

While filming biopic "Milk" -- about San Francisco's first gay Mayor Harvey Milk -- Sean Penn couldn't help but be impressed with his co-star's dick.

Penn first got a good look at James Franco's member during a nude pool scene, but didn't know Franco was actually wearing a fake phallus because he wasn't comfortable going completely naked.

Franco, who plays Harvey's partner Scott Smith,  admitted, "This scene went on for a long time, like half the day, and it's getting old... and I go over to Sean and I guess he didn't know that I was wearing a prosthetic.

"I go, `Sean, you're such a great actor but you wouldn't do a scene like this if they asked you; you wouldn't dive into a pool naked.' "And he said... `Well James, if I was built like you, I would.' "A couple of weeks later we did this scene, where we're both dancing and we're naked, and we both have prosthetic penises. He finally put it together that I'm wearing, like, the Boogie Nights prosthetic."

Makes us wonder, though: what was Franco hiding under all that latex?

He's done pretty well for a man who starts his day eating three fried-egg sandwiches filled with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions and mayonnaise. Michael Phelps won't be appearing on box of Wheaties anytime soon with a diet like that, but the US swimmer will have no trouble getting other endorsement deals after winning a record 8 gold medals at the 2008 Olympics (and that's in addition to the 6 other gold medals he won at the last Olympics).

And the payday could be huge. Phelps currently takes in about $5 million a year from nine sponsorship deals with the likes of Speedo, Visa, and Kellogg's. The eight golds he just won are worth another $50 to $100 million in purse money.

Hip hop has often been accused of being sexist and homophobic, with certain rappers relying heavily on bigoted comments to push their music. However, nine-time Grammy Award-winner, Kanye West, took a stand for gay men and women at the end of his recent concert in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.

"Open your fucking minds. Open your minds. Be accepting of different people and let people be who they are," West said.

"You know how many people came to me calling me gay cause I wear my jeans the fresh way? Or because I said 'hey, dude, how you gonna say ‘fag’ right in front of a gay dude’s face and act like that’s ok?' That shit is disrespectful.

"Coming from Chicago, where if you saw somebody that was gay you were supposed to stay ten feet away," West continued. "It took me time to break out of the mental prisons I was in. The stereotypes of the fear of the backlash that I would get if you don’t believe what I believe in, accepting people for who they are."

Actor Daniel Craig will soon be appearing as the bisexual 'Hadrian' -- the man who ruled Rome from 117 to 138 AD -- in the movie 'Memoirs Of Hadrian'.

And unlike many Hollywood films, the character's queer leanings will not be ignored. The movie will portray the ruler's affair with Greek lad Antinuos which destroyed the ruler's relationship with his wife.

Craig seems to have a thing for bent roles. He has already been pushing to make James Bond bisexual in the 007 franchise.

"Why not? I think in this day and age fans would have accepted it. No-one blinks an eye," the Daily Star quoted Craig as saying.

When pop singer George Michael was arrested for cruising in a public toilet in LA ten years ago, he felt an amazing sense of relief.

He told "Good Morning America" this week that "it was a very eventful and bizarrely dark period for me that I thought was going to go on forever ... It was a huge relief and it took me about a year to admit to myself that I had done it, deliberately.

According to the ever reliable New York Post's Page Six: "Leal, who is Italian but was born and raised in Brazil, married US citizen Jessica Gannon nine years ago - and never got a divorce." They are separated, however, due to 'irreconcilable differences.'"

Mikey Verdugo, the contestant on HGTV's "Design Star" who appeared in a gay bondage video, has been suspended (with pay) from his job as a Hollywood, Florida police officer. Internal Affairs is currently looking into whether or not he had a starring role in the 1996 porn film "Rope Rituals," according to Hollywood Police Spokesman Lt. Manny Marino.

Jack Shamama, editor of GayPornBlog.com, broke the story but didn't think the news would affect Verdugo's career.

"I feel badly about the possibility of him being fired," said Shamama, "but being in a porno isn't a crime and isn't something to be ashamed about. We didn't out a random police officer, we reported on someone who was entering the public arena through a reality television show ... This whole affair has my stomach tied up in knots."

Verdugo has remained mum on the whole affair, neither admitting nor denying his role in the video. He seems to be moving in a different direction if his website is any indication, taking a serious stab at home staging and design. Hmmm, our dungeon is looking a little dated ...
