Falcon President dies
Terry Mahaffey, president of Falcon Studios, died on Sunday after a battle with cancer. He was 51.
Mahaffey joined the gay adult entertainment industry as a movie distribution rep for LeSalon in 1980. In 1996 he was recruited by Falcon Studios' founder Charles Holmes, who remained a mentor until Holmes died in 2000.
Royalties for porn models
Porn publicist Jason Sechrest has announced that his newly formed production company, DV8 Entertainment, will pay a percentage of film profits to performers in addition to their day rates.
Dot-xxx decision delayed
Implementation of the controversial dot-xxx Top-Level Domain (TLD) has been postponed until "a future date" according to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the nonprofit international body that oversees the domain name system.
Cobra star: I was underage
Cobra Video, which specializes in twink bareback films, has been accused of casting an underage model in four of its releases. Brent Corrigan, speaking through his lawyer, says he was under eighteen when he appeared in "Bareboned Twinks", "Casting Couch 4", "Every Poolboy's Dream", and "Schoolboy Crush."

So what happens if one of those affiliates breaks the federal CAN-SPAM law by sending bulk unsolicited emails which are not marked "sexually explicit" and have no option for recipients to opt out of future e-mails? Should he be the one to take responsibility for his actions or is the company that he is affiliated with equally guilty?
Badpuppy turns ten
The longest running gay adult website celebrates ten years online this summer. Badpuppy founder and president Bill Pinyon was a computer network administrator at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral when he parlayed the knowledge he acquired working with a new Internet technology called the World Wide Web into a gay resource site.
It didn't take long for Pinyon and his partner, Steven Wojcik, to discover the huge demand that gay Web surfers had for adult content - and to endeavor to satisfy that demand. Maleflixxx TV hits Canadian cable - plug pulled on free preview
Maleflixxx Television, the world's first 24-hour gay adult digital cable channel officially launches this weekend with a party at Toronto's popular Woody's bar. Porn stars Michael Brandon and Carlos Morales will be the special guests tonight, with more entertainment provided by the multi-talented Sofonda Cox.
Maleflixxx Television will be carried by Rogers Cable Systems and is being launched at the same time as two straight adult channels, operated by Maleflixxx partner, Adults Only Video (AOV). Subscriptions are $29.95 per month.
There was a slight bump in the road this week when a planned free weekend-long preview was cancelled at the last minute.

David Forest dirt
David Forest, the beleagured West Hollywood porn agent, talks about his run-ins with the law and isolation from many in the gay adult world in a rather juicy profile at Porn Confidential.
