You can also scan the model index, but although the embedded player on the model pages looks like it should work, neither it nor the thumbnail pics do anything.

Usability

MAP's cleanly designed home page sports a black and red color scheme that keeps you firmly in the masculine zone. The homepage highlights the latest video and displays large thumbnails for the most recent and popular episodes, as well as the most popular models. All the episodes are housed under "Movies"; these are conveniently divided into Hardcore, Solo, Castings, and Backstage videos. Within any of these areas, you can readily sort by date, rating or number of views, or by the title of the episode.

Each video is tagged with the model names as well as the type of action or theme. The most unique feature in the videos is the "money shot" button (a dollar sign) which skips right to the climax of a scene. The video zoom buttons, on the other hand, were hard to control.

The Men and the Action

The Men At Play are a very distinctive type. Some are smooth, but a good number of them have facial and body hair. They're muscular, tanned -- and hung like your best office daydream. The mix of Brits, Germans, and steamy Latin men carries over to the beautifully produced movies that feature solos, pairs, and three-ways.

You'll find three different types of video entertainment:
Solo: The classic solo wank, including auditions, embellished by suited attire.
Hardcore: Story-driven videos with no interruptions for direction or dialogue with the model.
Backstage: These movies really do count as extras. Some excellent solo and duo action is featured, but the scenes are sometimes punctuated by the click and pop of a still photo camera.

Their viewing quality is very good, with a variety of medium and closeup shots, and an energetic variety of poses, including guys draped over furniture or dramatically sweeping all the stuff off a desk top so they can fuck. There are now over 450 videos on MAP ranging from 10 to 20 minutes in length. There is no DRM on the site you can download and keep the videos as long as you wish.

Men at Play videos stream in Flash and download in Windows Media and (for most) Quicktime formats.

The Flash streams play in a good-sized (960x540) embedded window and you can choose low, medium or high resolution. Note that the native size of these videos varies: they are stretched to fit the default screen (right click and toggle through the "stretch" choices to view them at their original size.)

The more recent 25% of Windows Media downloads play at a default size of 925x525 pixels, and a bitrate of 3,000 kbps. Older ones have lower bitrates, ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 kbps. The very oldest 20% have a standard aspect ratio, are smaller, and have bitrates between 900 and 1,000 kbps.

Mac note: Downloads are also avaible in either MP4 and/or Quicktime (MOV). The MOV downloads will play in a 960x540 window with a bitrate of 2,000 kbps; older ones are 640x360 or 740x540 pixels; 1200-1500 kbps; the very oldest have a standard aspect ratio, playing in a 650x525 pixel window at about 950 kbps.

Screens: The majority of videos are provided in MP4 format, aimed at mobile devices (they're labelled "iPod").
- They didn't stream on our iPhone 3G S, so had to be downloaded first and synced with iTunes.
- on the iPad the site doesn't function quite as elegantly as the desktop version, but clicking on the "iPod" icon will start the video streaming.
- when accessed on an Apple device the Quicktime and MP4 ("iPod') videos can be projected on to your TV screen via Apple TV, and they look goo.

Image and Other Content

You'll find that almost every model in the model roster has a digital image gallery. At this review, there are 152 good quality image galleries averaging 90 medium-sized pictures each. On the "Movie" pages you'll find that most (but not all) movies are accompanied by video captures sets (you have to click on the small "screencaps" text link). Summing Up
