Tom Katt & Jason Sechrest catch the Spirit

Known for his on-screen romps in films such as Falcon's "Full Length" and "Total Corruption 2," body building champ Tom Katt quit the adult film business in 2003, after years of steroid abuse. Katt's back, however, and he's re-emerged with a new kind of drug: religion.

Katt, known these days by his birth name, David Papaleo, emerged from obscurity last month when he appeared on "The Gravedigger Show," a Christian television program based in Atlanta. On the show, he renounced the adult film industry and declared his heterosexuality.

Still, Papaleo isn't suddenly waving a conservative flag. In an interview with the Dallas Voice, the reborn porn legend expressed no shame in his past and insisted that his faith embraces gay men and women.

"The Bible says, 'Don’t go against what is natural,'" Papaleo told the Voice. "If you are naturally heterosexual and you’re having sex with men, well, first, you’re treating that guy unfairly. But the Bible’s not saying heterosexuality is natural as far as from nature’s point of view -- it means going against what’s natural for yourself."

And what proved natural for Papaelo was women. He dated both men and women during his career as an adult film star, and fully identified as bisexual. Ultimately, however, he said he was never able to fully connect with a man.

Unless, of course, that man is Jesus Christ. Papaleo began studying the Bible in 2003 and while he says he doesn't belong to a particular church, he hopes to be ordained as a reverend one day soon.

Papaleo isn't the only one for whom sex is getting spiritual, it seems. The Voice reports that gay Internet personality Jason Sechrest, the man behind JasonCurious.com, recently has launched KabbalahCurious.com. The new website features a blog that examines the integration of spirituality into all facets of one's life -- even your work in the porn world!

"They told me JasonCurious.com would fail because it was combining the straight porn world with the gay porn world," Sechrest told the Voice. "They’ll tell me that combining the spiritual with the sexual will flop as well. So what? I’m trying to become a better person and share some enlightenment with anyone who might need it."

That's great, Jason. Just promise to keep sharing all your X-rated gossip, too!
