Panda porn

Getting pandas to breed in captivity has always been tricky as the adorable bears seem to lack an interest in sex when penned in.  But now zoo breeders in China are claiming great success -- in no small part to the creative use of  "panda porn."

Zhang Zhihe, a leading Chinese expert in panda breeding, says that explicit panda sex movies were just one of several techniques used to encourage the animals to get down and dirty. And it worked: in the first 10 months of this year 31 cubs were born in captivity in China, up from 12 in 2005.

So in China porn is good for bears, but bad for people. Go figure.
