Gay
porn icon Jeff Stryker is alive and well and working in L.A. -- trying to work,
that is. It seems he's been having trouble concentrating on the creation of his
stage show and other writing because of racket from the folk music club that is located right
beside his office.
At
Kulack's Woodshed fans of folk music can strum their guitars and sing Joni
Mitchell and Bob Dylan ditties to their hearts' content. But Stryker's specialty is
fucking, not folk-ing, and so he's been trying to shut the club down.
In 2004
Stryker began complaining about Kulak's to Los Angeles Councilwoman Wendy
Greuel, the Building and Safety Commission and the police.
Now both men have
restraining orders against each other and Stryker is alleged to have harassed patrons of the club as they enter, intimidating them with a demonstration of his kick-boxing routine. (What is this, "Stryker Force"?)
According
to club owner Kulack, it all goes back to Stryker's notorious ballad, "Pop You
in the Pooper" which he was forbidden from performing at the club in 2004. (In all fairness, "Pop You in the
Pooper" is a country song.)
Stryker
says it has nothing to do with being barred from playing his song and
everything to do with the building not being zoned as a live music venue.
"I've
been tortured every night for five years," Peyton told the Los Angeles
Daily News. "This area isn't built for this. There's no parking. It's a
business strip, not a place for a dance hall."
Kulak's club is facing closure Dec. 31 - a late but surely much appreciated Christmas present for Mr. Stryker. We can hardly wait for his next artistic output -- though it's hard to imagine anything surpassing the brilliance of his Pooper song.
