Best Porn Vids of '06

While the GayVN Awards won't be held until the end of February and Chicago's Grabby's are even later in the year both X-Factor and ManNet have announced their picks for the best gay porn DVD releases of 2006.

Phoenix-based X-Factor Magazine comes up with its annual "Hard Choice" Awards each January, culling the winners from DVD's they reviewed over the past twelve months. 

Jet Set's "Going Under" won Best Film, with Lucas Entertainment's "La Dolce Vita" getting Honorable Mention.  Special praise went to Best Director Steven Scarborough for Hot House's "Justice," "Black-N-Blue," and "Trunks 2." According X-Factor's Onan the Vulgarian, Scarborough "reinvented himself in 2006. From seemingly effortless but erotically flawless vanilla masterpieces to complex and serious themes to no-hold barred nastiness, he surprised me again and again, showing not just versatility but the bold confidence of a director who knows what he wants to deliver and is at the peak of his professional powers to do it."

X-Factor has some peculiar awards you won't find at the GayVN's, like the Savage Humor Award, Best Mind Fuck and Best Homage to Cleopatra.

Also every January, Butch Harris of  ManNet releases his list of  "100 Best Videos of the Year." No categories here, just an alphabetical list of one hundred scorching hot pornos. They keep it simple at ManNet, which probably avoids a lot of drama, come to think of it.
