BoyButter battles Unilever

I can't believe it's not BoyButterBoyBatter? Or is it all just another load of Country Crock? Unilever is having none of it. They are taking BoyButter, a popular personal lube, to court.

BoyButter, it seems, is hitting a little too close to home. The tag line for their product is "I can't believe it's not boy butter". Unilever argues this is an infringement on their own "I can't believe it's not butter" slogan for their Country Crock margarine. The packaging and logos are also said to be the very similar.

Unilever isn't asking for much. Just a total recall of the product and all the profits.

This comes at an interesting time: BoyButter.com is easily confused with gay porn site BoyBatter.com. BoyBatter is owned by Harlow Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes, both facing murder charges in the January death of Bryan Kocis.

Maybe a name change isn't such a bad idea.
