Thou shalt not sell sex toys

Although she served the church faithfully for 35 years, Linette Servais was removed from her duties as organist and choir director of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Franken, Wisconsin, because the priest did not agree with her day job.

"Linette is a consultant for a firm," he wrote to parishioners,"which sells products of a sexual nature that are not consistent with Church teachings. ... Either she could stay on as the choir director/organist or she could continue to be a consultant but she could not do both.”

Linette was shocked. "Father Dean made it sound so sinful," the 50-year-old said to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "There is so much more to this business than toys." 

Surviving brain cancer, but becoming sexually dysfunctional in the process, Linette turned to Pure Romance and now helps other women with similar problems. The company sells sex toys and spa products at home parties.

"I feel that Pure Romance is my ministry," she admitted.

Female parishioners will surely miss Linette's spunky nature, not to mention the little Jesus pocket rockets she sells.
