Hairspray bad for gays?

Washington Blade's editor, Kevin Naff, is asking people to boycott John Travolta's latest film, "Hairspray."

"It's well known that Scientology has operated reparative therapy clinics to try and 'cure' gays," says Naff. Since Scientologists donate a large portion of their income to the organization, he argues that "by going to this movie, gay people are literally putting money into an organization that seeks to 'cure' them."

But by not going to the movie, we miss seeing Travolta in a dress. What's a gay to do?
