We're not even safe on Broadway

The ex-gay movement has dipped its toes into sacred territory for homosexual men: Broadway! Arguably one of the most gay-positive industries in North America, theater is no stranger to internalized homophobia. The ex-gays hope to exploit this sense of self doubt to secure more "converts" for their cause.

Bill Hussung has exposed these mole-like queer-haters from Life Ministry in his new film, "Gay No More," due out in September.  As the film explains, Life Ministry is "an ex-gay movement with the core belief that you are gay because of a sexual trauma in your background. When you discover what that is, you can release it and be cured of gay desires."

Hussung believes that "people will be shocked to learn how widespread among the New York theater community this is."

Jazz hand formation, everyone! We're heading to New York to save some sisters. And if we're lucky we'll have time to catch Avenue Q!
