Sir Elton's photo not porn

Sir Elton JohnNan Goldin’s "Klara and Edda Belly Dancing," a photograph owned by Sir Elton John, was siezed last month by British police because they believed the image violated British child pornography laws. However, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has now decided that the photo is not indecent. They made a similar declaration in 2001.

"In order to prove that the photograph is indecent we must be satisfied that contemporary standards of propriety are so different now to what they were in 2001, that it is more likely than not a court will conclude that the photograph is indecent," said the head of the CPS Northumbria South Unit. "I am not satisfied that is the case.

"Accordingly, I am of the opinion that the evidence is insufficient to justify proceedings for offences of possession or distribution of an indecent photograph."

Have the cops decided to revisit this one picture every 6 years? Seems a big waste of time and taxpayers' money if you ask us.
