Naked Cowboy takes on M&M

Naked Cowboy sues M&MThat crazy blue M&M character has always been a bit of a troublemaker. But when he showed up on a display in New York City's Times Square in just his tighty whities while playing a guitar, he went too far!

You see, the "nothing but underwear with guitar" look was perfected by Robert John Burck, also known as the Naked Cowboy. He's appeared in commercials, tried out for American Idol and Star Search, and even shows up in the video game "True Crime: New York City." Oh, and he just happens to be a busker in Times Square.

When he found out about the M&M blue imitation, he was far from flattered. In fact, Burck went ballistic. He is now suing Mars Inc for over $6 million.

According to the lawsuit, "(Mars) decided to exploit and trade upon The Naked Cowboy's well-recognized likeness without a license and without furnishing any compensation."

Maybe the Naked Cowboy should steal M&M's signature slogan: "I melt in your mouth, not in your hands." That would be hot!
