Oh, brother!

You know they'll be checking under the mattresses a little more often at the 900-year-old Maria Laach Abbey in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Why? Church authorities recently discovered a Benedictine monk's cache of over 230 gay porn videos.

The 49-year-old was spotted trying to steal a few DVDs to add to his collection by an employee at a sex store in city Wuerzburg. Police later caught the sticky-fingered monk after he fled the scene and tossed the films into a trash bin.

We always wondered what monks were hiding under their oversized cloaks...
