A minor-leaguer's high stick offense

Nathan Smith of the Penguins suspended for streakingA minor-leaguer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins hockey team was suspended  for one game after streaking through downtown Scranton on Sunday morning.

Nathan Smith, 26, was out drinking with friends when the young braniac slipped out of his clothes and ran naked towards police officer Michael Marino. (Men, never, ever run towards a cop with your weapon out; you're just asking for trouble!)

"It's embarrassing to the players, and embarrassing to the organization," Penguins general manager Ray Shero said, adding that "it's not the way we expect players to conduct themselves."

Smith agreed, saying in a statement: "I made an embarrassing and regrettable decision this weekend and understand I will face disciplinary action. My conduct was unacceptable and totally out of character -- it will not happen again."

No sweat, Nathan. You can streak down our street any day.
