Update: Kerekes' jail cell confessions?

Joseph Kerekes a jail house snitchCourt papers filed by Luzerne County prosecutors in the upcoming murder trial of Bryan Kocis claim co-defendant Joseph Kerekes told a cell mate that he and Harlow Cuadra conspired to kill a “dude” to gain the movie rights of a porn star.

The papers contend that Kerekes admitted to using his cell phone and computer at the Plains Township motel to create an alibi, and that he planned to blame Cuadra for Kocis' death.

One inmate, Robert Tolley, said Kerekes admitted to killing “some guy in Pennsylvania”  while another, John Riggs, claimed Kerekes talked about how he and Cuadra had to make Kocis “disappear” to get the rights of a porn actor. Riggs added that Kerekes said he helped clean up the mess after Cuadra killed Kocis, though both men slashed Kocis' throat.

Finally Robert Rodden, 42, an inmate at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, said Kerekes confided that he bought a knife in Virginia, traveled to Pennsylvania, bought a second knife and then "made several phone calls" to establish an alibi.

Rodden quoted Kerekes as saying: "They won’t be able to get me for murder. Harlow went out to meet the guy, and he won’t say anything … because I told him not to. I’ll get out in five years and make tons of money off of this."

What is this world coming to when you can't even trust your cell mates to keep a secret?
