Tom Cruise is not gay -- again

Rumors have surrounded Tom Cruise's sexuality for years. And for years, Cruise has insisted that he's straight. But Cruise's promise hasn't satisfied famed biographer Andrew Morton's curiousity. He's hired former gay porn actor / director Paul Baressi to investigate Cruise's bedroom behavior, and the Hollywood heartthrob is fuming.

Morton made a name for himself as the man who helped Princess Diana write her confessional memoirs. His latest project, however, has him probing Cruise's past for evidence of gay play. And who better to do the probing than Baressi, a private investigator who has starred in 25 gay porn films, according to Australia's Sunday Times, and directed many more?

According to Contactmusic, Baressi already has provided Morton with letters from Cruise's attorney, Bert Fields, that allude to a gay affair Tom had while filming "Eyes Wide Shut" in the United Kingdom.

Fields, however, promises to sue Morton and his publisher, New York-based St. Martin's Press, if they use his letters to cast doubt on Cruise's heterosexuality.

"I wrote a letter to Mr. Morton back in November and said he obviously was entitled to write the book, but 'Make sure you check your facts,'" Fields said. "If he tries to use my letter to create the impression that Mr Cruise did have a gay affair, we will certainly sue ... because the story is false. Mr Cruise is not gay."

Tom Cruise may not be gay - but damn it's fun pushing his buttons!
