Leave the kid alone!

Edison Chen made a mistake; he filmed himself having sex with different Hong Kong starlets (including Twins singer Gillian Chung and the actress Cecilia Cheung) and the pictures were leaked to the media. Big oops. But unlike in the US, where homemade porn bumps you onto the b-list (just ask Paris Hilton), it destroys your career in China.

Chen, an actor and singer himself, announced yesterday that he was leaving the entertainment business and will focus instead on charitable work.

"These photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone," Chen told a press conference in the US. "I would like to apologize to all the ladies and to all their families for any harm or hurt they have been feeling. I'm sorry. I hope after today I can have your forgiveness."

Let's hope he can convince the Hong Kong mafia to let this go. They have allegedly offered as much as $500 HKD to anyone who cuts off Chen's hands. Can you say overreaction?

We say Chen should move to the US, continue acting, and embrace his extremely sexual self. And if he would like to embrace our sexual selves while he's at it, we wouldn't say no... and we'd even let him keep his hands!
