Ellen would love to be Ann Romney's roommate

Ann Romney recently admitted to liking the show Modern Family. It's an odd choice for a woman whose hubby, Mitt, is currently promoting himself and his family as proud defenders of 'traditional marriage.' After all, the series showcases a happy gay couple with a child.

Well, show creator Steve Levitan has offered Ann a guest spot on the show, though she'll have to wait until gay marriage is legal. He tweeted: "Thrilled Ann Romney says [Modern Family] is her favorite show. We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal."

Now Ellen DeGeneres has gotten into the act, offering to play Ann's roomie. "I'll play her roommate," she said on Twitter.

Ann, of course, is a little busy at the moment to respond to the offer, though in a few months she should have plenty of free time to work something out. 

Still, if it doesn't happen, we think Ann and Ellen should remake The Odd Couple. We'd definitely tune into that!
